Hello Again!

Hi Everyone!

I know that it has almost been a year since I have posted. I wanted to do a quick post so you could see what has been going on for the first half of the year. I will be posting about a couple of adventures that we have taken during the year. We stay have one more big adventure to take before the year is over. I am going to go by month. :)

In late January, we had a winter storm. That is not heard of where we live. Now, It wasn't a snow winter storm. It was an ice storm that came rolling across the state. Since our town and the surrounding towns are not use to the kind of weather, people were driving crazy. The weather was deemed bad enough to close our post down for three days.

March was a very busy month for us! We had two big trips back to back. At the beginning of the month, we attended a Frozen release party. We got to dress up and I made cupcakes for the party. At the end of the month, we took a trip to Walt Disney World with friends and then turned around to visit family in Nashville!!! (I will do a separate post on those trips!)

April we had our first Easter egg hunt with the neighbor children. It was a lot of fun since it was also a pajama party! All of the kids and parents came dressed in their warmest pajamas.

April was another busy month for travel. This time we Daddy with us and our destination was Washington D.C. My sister-in-law and I got selected to run a race there! More details on the race to come later. We got to spend a couple of days walking around D.C. and stayed at Fort Myers lodging. It was so beautiful and a lot cheaper!

May - July

Even though we did not travel far during the summer, we had a lot of fun going to different local places. We went to the beach, picked strawberries, went to the zoo, and had a distance relative from Germany come visit us for three weeks. Now where we live, there is not much to see since we do not live by a big city (New York, Orlando, Atlanta, ect) but we kept him entertained.

Independence Day was fun with the family. We went to the Freedom Fest at our post and had boiled peanuts, frozen sweet tea, and of course hot dogs!!! We came back to the house to watch the fireworks but poor Squeakers was so tired out that she fell asleep before the first one went off. She slept through the whole show.

Well I have to run for now but I will try and update the last couple of months soon! Have a great week and a Happy Veteran's Day!!! Tschuss ~Mack

Thanksgiving & Christmas 2013

Happy New Year!

I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season! I enjoyed seeing the family and all the home cooking that I could eat. I am sure that I gained about 10 pounds.

Thanksgiving was at my house. I was so excited to have everyone over especially since we got a new stove. It took seven calls before they finally came and brought us a new stove. Everyone had their items to bring and they all were delicious.

Christmas time was a blast. Family members came down that I haven't seen in a while. We spent Christmas Eve with Papa & Mimi and Christmas with my family. Squeakers figured out quick That the gifts under the tree were meant to be opened by her. It was so fun to watch her open gifts. We had so much fun spending the holidays with the family and for the first time in a long time we didn't have to travel! Enjoy the photos. Tschüss~Mack

Bazaar Time!!!!

Hello! Hello!

Looks like I am having to catch you up again on the events that have happened in the last few months! Before the holiday season kicked off, we had the Hollyday Bazaar on the base we are stationed at right now. Mom and Dolly had been working hard all year long for this one event. I was the cashier so they could have fun and enjoy talking to the people. We set up the night before and vendors were already looking at our booth. Before the night was over, we had already sold a bunch of our items!

The next day we all had to get up early since we could arrive there by 0730 (7:30am). Mom and Dolly beat me there and I live on base! Nine o'clock was the official opening time for the bazaar but we had vendors coming and buying more items that morning before it opened. We were in an awesome location! It was right in front and one of the first booths that you saw when you came through the door.

I have to say that this year's bazaar rocked! The chairman and volunteers did an amazing job and I don't know how they will outdo themselves this year. They had a man cave, car dealerships bring cars, FRGs (family readiness groups) and the boy scouts making food, volunteers coming by to see if we needed anything, etc. It really made the time go by fast.

The family came by just in time for the bazaar to close. That came in handy since we had a lot of big items left. Since we now have an SUV, we were able to put a lot more things in the car. We only had to make one trip. They left everything in the truck to take to the store that they consign in that following week.

I have to say that I am so proud of Mom and Dolly for all the hard work and it really paid off! I am hoping to have some items in this year's bazaar. I can't wait to see what they make this year. I am hoping that my cousin will be able to join us too!

Enjoy the photos and hopefully I will get you all caught up! Tschuss~Mack
